Factory visit in Chandler, AZ, USA

A couple of our empolyees has been visiting the factory that manufature our health food products, including Snore Relief, Agaricus Blazei, Blueberry etc. The factory is located in Chandler, Arizona, USA, and the facility meets the highest standards in the business, namely GMP certification ("Good Manufacturing Practice"). We have inspected the factory, and below you can see the different stages from when the raw material comes in, until we get the finished product.

All raw material entering the facility is immediately quarantined behind closed doors. Here it is stored until it has been tested at the factory lab. A certificate of analysis accompanies each raw material. Without this certificate, the raw material will be returned to the producer.
This is a spectograph that checks if the raw material is in compliance with the documents. A computer holds a graph telling the chemical "fingerprint" of the material in question, and the raw material and the stored graph is compared to see wether the material conforms.
After analysis and compliance determination, the raw material gets transfered to the factory storage area.
This is a list containing the ingredients that has to be measured to create a new product. The weight of each ingredient is calculated according to the number of capsules / tablets to be produced.
When all the ingredients are measured up, they get poured into this tank for mixing. The time it takes to blend all the ingredients vary in conjunction to the number of ingredients in a specific product, and also their individual properties.
Some ingredients has a concistency that requires drying.
This is an automatic capsule-machine. The finished mixture of ingredients is poured into the container and the machine is calibrated according to the size of the capsule.
After a machine has completed a production run, it is in need of cleaning. This is because one has to avoid the remnants of earlier productions, as it is different components and raw materials being used from product to product. The cleaning takes 2-3 hours to complete.
This is a smaller capsule-machine, non-automatic model. Used for minor productions.
The cleaning of a tablet machine.
After the tablets has been produced, they go through quality control. Any tablet that is damaged, or in any other way doesn't uphold the highest standard, get's discarded.
Samples of the finished product gets stored at the factory for 1 year after the sell-by-date has expired, in order to have the possibility to perform lab tests in an eventual complaint.
After the product has gone through quality control, it ends up in the packingroom. Here the tablets / capsules are being poured into the container, the machine gets calibratet according to the quantity of each bottle, and the rest is done automatically.
Finally the bottles gets labled before they get shpped out in boxes.
The certificate showing that the factory is GMP certified.
